A book every girl should read to better understand men especially in relationships and dating. It helped me understand the differences in male thought patterns and behaviours compared to us girls - and they're very big differences!

The power of now by Eckhart Tolle

Tolle has a brilliant mind and a wonderful way of explaining things, this booked helped me realise the true power of the present moment and how to live within it fully.

I listened to this book while at University and it encouraged me to be brave and courageous! A great one for people dealing with nerves or anxiety.

I picked this one up at 18 and was astounded at what I learnt about the brain and why we do what we do every day! An important read for those wishing to change their habits.

My jaw was on the floor as I recognised my own relationship patterns and attachment types in the pages of this book. Truly eye opening and helped me understand why certain relationships in my life had never worked out, and how to better approach different attachment types.

Rich dad poor dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki

This book gave me insight into how our upbringing shapes our psychology and behaviours around spending and earning money.

Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Kimmerer

Simply one of the most beautiful books I've ever read. A wholesome merging of nature and spirituality, and where human beings play their part between the two.

Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert

I'd never heard this perspective before! A stunning take on how our Ideas and creativity have their own spirit, and how we must honour them and act on them fast before they escape us. (I'd recommend listening to the audible version, it's wonderfully narrated.)

You are a Badass by Jen Sincero

Another one i picked up in my early 20s, that helped give me the confidence to do what i wanted, stop caring so much what others thought of me, and just go for it anyway!

The life changing magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo

Believe it or not i read this at 16 years old, long before It found it's fame - and it changed the way i treat my belongings and surroundings ever since! It can change your life too if you practice it's contents.

Think and grow rich by Napoleon Hill

Another classic book about making money, though some of it's stories are outdated, male focused and non-beginner friendly. It's not such an easy read, but still gave me some good insights into capitalism.

The I Ching - the ancient book of changes

Comparible to the Bible, the Koran and the Upanishads - It is not so much a 'read' but a powerful and magical tool of divination with a library of Hexagram interpretations. For advanced spiritual and philosophical thinkers, as it can be difficult to wrap your head around.

The 4-hour work week by Timothy Ferris

An interesting look into how one might acquire and use their skills to create passive income - Although it is a lengthy read and some of it's stories and examples are outdated.

The 7 habits of highly effective people

A classic, though a bit of a long winded read/listen. Covey gives some great stories and examples of how to deal with people. Though I wouldn't recommend this one to beginners.

To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee

A moving, heart-wrenching and unforgettable book that strengthened my understanding of kindness, courage, truth, justice and the tragedy of the human condition.

A look into the real life of vintage Hollywood star Sophia Loren and the personal battles she faced behind the glamour and fame.

The glam Life by Fiona Ferris

An enjoyable listen, reminding me to indulge in the glamorous and finer things in little ways, even when on a budget - and how doing so can enhance life.

A fascinating read from the perspective of one of Marilyns first photographers, which gave me insight into who she was before and how Marilyn became Marilyn.
